Yesterday was declared a non-working holiday in celebration of the Islamic religious feast, Eid'l Adha. The holiday commemorates the willingness of the Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his own son, Ishmael (or Ismail), upon the command of Allah.

So, what did I do? I decided to sacrifice my tank. Been planning on painting it flat black for the longest time but haven't had the time... Until yesterday. Of course I didn't get too far...

I just stripped paint off the top since I wasn't sure I'd be able to finish the whole thing.

I'm actually digging the bare metal look, just scared it might rust. Will probably strip the whole tank this weekend and paint it by sometime next week (right). I think I need 3 more non-working holidays.

Still a lot of work to be done but this bike's come a long way from when he first picked it up. It's leaking like a bitch that's taken one too many pops of Xenical and most of its electricals don't work. But then again, who gives a shit about the horn not working when you've got a bike as loud as this? As long as the headlights work, yeah? Good times, baby.
