Ever since I got word of the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan,
I've just been glued to the TV and computer reading up on what's been going on and shit. It's terrible and absolutely sad - seeing all the kids and elderly people wrapped up in blankets, etc.
I can't help but think of Joni Mitchell's song, Lakota.
That's exactly what's happening now...
And it's all our fucking fault.
We keep taking from Mother Earth without ever giving ANYTHING back.
Seriously, what have you done for her lately?
I, myself, have not given jack.
We can't expect Mother Earth to keep on going on forever without us giving anything back.
Everything happens for a reason...
it's quite sad to think that WE are the reason for this.
We really must wake up and smell the fucking slime...
This is Mother Earth trying to tell us something.
We should go back to basics. Living properly and living well.
Take only what you need and nothing more.
Care for Mother Earth.
Treat ALL THINGS with respect and love.
It's time we show her some respect...
